Title: SOLVED: 'The output directory could not be created for one or more files'
Post by: Jay Fora on November 03, 2020, 09:04:44 pm
When attempting to rip a disc, I got the following error message:-
 'The output directory could not be created for one or more files. Please double-Check output directory in ripping options'
I couldn't find the necessary setting to change anywhere that i looked in tools>options>
What is the cause of an error message like this, and where exactly would I find the setting referred to please?
Thank you

Options->File Location

Then Audio or Ripped Video depending on what you're ripping.

Thank you...that looks obvious, but I was looking in the most obvious place to me, which was encoding. This was where I expected to find all options related to ripping. I'd prefer that, like Media Monkey, a window pops up when I'm setting up a rip that easily allows me to vary my choices from pre-set options. Am still learning where MC options are to be found, as they are often not in a place I expect.

In fact, if you click the options/settings link in the ripping pane, it brings up a dialog that shows you several sets of options, including File Location.
