How does "Naim WAV" differ from generic WAV? Does it?

Some of the older Naim units stored tags in a sidecar file. Some Naims stored the tags in the wav file, but it seems like in some cases other software cannot read the tags. I am not sure how the Core handles tags in wav files. The only way to be sure, is to get one of the wav files and try to import it. It may be best to have the Naim convert the files to flac, if it can do that.
This link may help. Seems like the Core uses some unique format and that the solution suggested are a program called Songkong or using a Naim UnitiServe to do the conversion to flac.

If possible, please make a Naim WAV file available to matt at jriver dot com. We'll try to add support for anything missing.
Thanks.
