Title: Smartlist Rules - limit=-1,2[Artist]

I have some smart lists that I built (or copied from somewhere) a long time ago and have forgotten how they work.
This is an example [Media Type]=[Audio] [Genre]="ska" [Last Played]=>52w ~sort=Random ~limit=-1,2,[Artist]
Can anyone tell me what the ~limit=-1,2,[Artist] modifier is doing?
