CURRENTLY USING MJ8 AND I IT WILL NOT LET ME PLAY ANY OF MY MUSIC FROM ANY OF THE PLAY LISTS. A MESSAGE KEEPS COMING UP SAYING " PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE PATH IN MJ LIBRARY POINTS TO THE RIGHT LOCATION; ALSO DOUBLE CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOUR NOT UNINTENTIONALLY FILTERING THESE FILES " , I DONOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO FIX ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS AND WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELPING ME OUT. THANK YOU!

Ouch...my ears! Turn your Caps Lock off.
Is this a recent development? Could you play files before?
See if you can play a file. In MJ go to File>Open Media File. Does it work? Post your sys info from Help>System Info.

It sounds like maybe after you imported the files into MJ, you possibly moved them using a different program (like Windows Explorer). If so, MJ is still looking for the files at the locations they were at when you imported them. You need to update the library (File/Library/Update Library) to delete the tracks and then reimport them from their new location.

hk, it would appear then that those files are corrupt and/or have bad tagging. Files saved before yesterday play fine, correct? If they're mp3's or wma's then start up Win Media Player and check them with that.

Thanks for your help ,but nothing seems to be working. It now seems that every Mp3 file l have added to MJ will not work/play instead a warning comes up stating Make Sure MJ is in the correct Path or something like that !
The only music l can play now is the stuff l've already got on c.d which l downloaded into MJ.
If you can think of anything it would be much appreciated...........thanks!

Did you try playing the files with WMP?
Copy & paste your sys info from Help>System Info in MJ.
What other rip/burn software do you have onboard?
