Title: Downsizing HTPC case. Any suggestions?
Post by: rec head on December 10, 2020, 11:20:29 am
I plan on reconfiguring all of my AV gear into a new cabinet and this would be much easier if I didn't have a full size case. My last PC build was the HTPC and I haven't looked into it since. The computer won't be seen so I don't care what it looks like. Function over form for this.

My motherboard is a full size ATX with an i3 2105 CPU. I would consider buying a new MB+CPU to get a smaller case but I'm OK with the performance and don't have an urge to upgrade.

Here's what needs to fit in the case:
1) 1060 GPU
2) an SSD and maybe an HDD.
3) I have thought about putting my 2 optical drives in external cases anyway so not a big deal if they don't fit.

Thanks for any suggestions.
