Title: Loud popping at start of .dsf (DSD) files (might be solved)
Post by: Lkdog on December 12, 2020, 07:01:42 pm
This is new. Started out of the blue this afternoon.
These are .dsf files that were created from a SACD.iso file.
Had zero issues with them for weeks.

Non DSD files are fine.

I updated to newest JRiver version build.
Still doing it.

Have disabled and enabled Ignore Transport Events and Disable Setnext support in DLNA options.
Nothing helping.

What changed?

What changed?

Nothing.

It seems to have gotten back to normal after I rebooted everything from ground up (PC, reset network settings, restarted JRiver, etc).

What did change after the reset of everything is the Ignore Transport Events in DLNA Controller remained unchecked.
It refused to stay unchecked before when it was hiccuping for a few hours.

Oddly- I was having issues a couple months ago where if Ignore Transport Events was NOT checked- JRiver would stop playing after a few songs and not play through.

Update for anyone following this:

The Ignore Transport Events setting remains unchecked. No issues with playback while streaming DSD.
Not sure why it kept checking for awhile and if that was the cause, but it seemed to be the issue.
