Title: Distortion When Mixing
Post by: ppataki on December 18, 2020, 08:02:58 am
When mixing Sub channel to other channels there is a distortion
I am adding Sub to Front Left and Front Right (please see the screenshot)
The volume is lowered to make sure it is not clipping

Are you sure the sub doesn't already contain the distortion?
Also if you are lowering all channel by -30dB, you should probably also be lowering the sub by the same amount, or its going to be too loud.

what sort of distortion? I suggest you change the output format to write to a file and then share the results to illustrate

tenet is a clip fest anyway isn't it? :)

Thanks Gents! Apparently the distortion is on the recording on the Sub channel itself....
This is really weird
I solved it by applying a low pass filter on the Sub channel before adding it to the fronts - the distortion is gone!

btw I have experienced the same with multiple Dolby and DTS test videos but not with any movies so far

Thanks once again, this is solved
