Title: Two hard drives, too many duplicates
Post by: Datapanik on December 21, 2020, 08:57:39 am
I have two WD devices connected to the laptop: the older WD My Cloud which is displayed on the Web and now mainly serves as a backup disk and the newer WD My Cloud Home which is displayed as a Z drive in Windows Explorer and JRiver.

Is there a way to keep both disks connected to the laptop, but for JRiver to read data exclusively from one, Z drive?

Now JRiver reads both discs so all my albums and all songs are duplicated when I search for them via the Author or Author / Album options. What do I need to do, click, turn off, to see songs and albums from only one external drive in JRiver.

Thanks!

I would exclude the not wanted drive from Tools>Options>Library & Folders>Auto-Import>Configure Auto Import and exclude the path you don't want.

Read the Wiki (https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Auto-Import) and you can get some details on remove & excluding. You may end up with a bunch of not founds so select a Files view of some sort or create a Smartlist and then select all and Delete>Remove from Library.
