Hello again
Related to my prior notifications.
I am using jriver For Many years.
After the latest update from jriver27 i cannot play my music.
The music sounds like slow motion
I have uninstalled jriver27 and downloaded again many times, but the problem is still there.
JRiver 26 and 25 are OK
How can i Fix this problem?
Taking into consideration my prepaid registration license.
Best regards

Try the Audio Setup topic on our wiki.

Hello JimH
I noticed that with MC27 the output resamples with SSRC, this causes the dac output to perform as slow sound. (see doc)
With MC26 & MC27 everything works fine.
Note that the output is always locked as decoded to DSD 64 via Schiit Loki DSD dac.
Thens, how i can disengage SSRC!!!
Regarding audio output setup this its exactly like the previous MC versions.
Looking forward - Regards

Hi again
It seems like there is a similar issue on Mc users, as

There's one other hit on SSRC if you search the forum.

The Mac problem is probably differrent.
If you're using any DSP or VST plug-ins, disable them.

Select SOX for resampling in Tools>Options>Audio
Why convert a wav file to DSD in DoP? Surely a simple PCM output is all that is needed?

His DAC is a DSD only DAC. It does not play PCM.

Are you converting from 192 to 176 or is the MC conversion to DSD doing it? If you are doing it, why?
There was a change in the PCM to DSD conversion routine in MC 26.0.85 (May 2020). Not sure if that is related or not.
There was a problem in converting 48 KHz files to DSD. That was fixed in 27.0.36. Again, nor sure if that is related or not.

Well! That is a pretty limited DAC

Well! That is a pretty limited DAC - although I don't see where you got that info from?
It was purposely built for people who wanted a inexpensive DSD DAC, often as an add on.

Bit like a record deck that only does 45rpm then. ;D

Hello to everyone
To be specific.
DAC is dsd ONLY. MC, as usual, is converting all formats to dsd ON THE FLY, like all all previous versions of MC. THATS CLEAR.
Laptop is i7 proccessor, 16 gb RAM. HDisk external 1Tb usb 3 inteface, exclusively for music...
Now, all formats playing, other than dsd, the conversion from pcm to dsd is done by SSCR procces...ONLY. WHY!!
Note, that all parameter setings as all previous MC versions are the same. No DSP, No VST....
Initially, when the upgrade from v.26 to v.27 performed some time ago, everything were fine...suddenly last week the problem arise.
It might be a full feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2 from to Windows 10, version 2004....
Also, to be noted that resampling appears all the time while playing no matter the file resolution sample rate, format, etc....and the output sound is a slow sound with less speed, i can say..

..................Hello
Looking forward, from the JRiver admin / forum for the above issue to be resolve...

Might be the same issue as here

Indeed, since the Schiit Loki DSD DAC uses DoP, it very well could be that issue. Try downgrading Media Center to 27.0.26 and see if it works correctly then.

JRiver is closed this week because of the holidays.
I own one of these DACs that I don't use anymore, but when I last tested it 6 months ago it still worked fine in Media Center (at least for actual DSD files, I don't do PCM to DSD conversions). I don't really recommend anyone buying and using the original Loki, as if it's your only DAC you have to convert all PCM to DSD (which is a lossy process), Schiit themselves discontinued it years ago and reused the Loki name for another product a long time ago. If DSD playback is important to you, I'd highly recommend getting a DAC that can handle both PCM and DSD without any conversions. I myself earlier in the year switched my Schiit Modi 2 Uber + Schiit Loki setup to a new DAC that does both PCM and DSD without conversions, the Topping D50s.
EDIT: Yep, DoP sounds very distorted in 27.0.47. Downgrading to 27.0.26 does indeed fix it, so it's probably the same issue Matt fixed yesterday. Downgrading is probably the best advise right now.

Hello
Thank you for your kind response.
OK. I have downgraded to MC26, for the time being.
As Matt declares, i.e ''I've reproduced the problem and fixed it for the next build. We added sample rate changing. It needed to be disabled for DSD and DoP but only DSD was there.''
Looking forward for the next build....!
