Title: Frequent crashes
Post by: HaWi on December 29, 2020, 01:04:14 pm
I am getting regular crashes. I have attached a couple of crash reports. Don't know if they help. I'll be happy to provide other data if that would help figuring out what is happening.

Under Docker?

What are you doing?

Reboot.

Sorry, I am still very new to all the power of MC.
I am running two instances of MC27. One in docker (as  MC server) on a NAS, and one on my iMac. I am using the same library which resides on the NAS. The media are also located on the NAS. What I am trying to achieve is the following:
Do library maintenance on the iMac but serve the library from the NAS (always on), mainly also for accessing it via JRemote from outside the LAN.
What I have been doing, probably wrongly, is to use the library as if it were a completely shared entity that can be modified either on the server or the Mac with complete transparency. While this worked for a while I can now only access the library in read-write mode from the Mac if the MC docker container is stopped. Then I learned that I can set up one as a server and the other as a client and have the library synchronized between them, that's cool. However, if I set up the iMac as the client then I cannot modify the media files (via Find/Copy/Replace). So is the right solution for me to set up the docker MC as the client?
Many thanks for any help!
