I have seen this in other topics at the Tivocommunity boards, so I am not the only one. Whenever I attempt to play tracks in shuffle mode, I get the error that the file cannot be found.
I love the media center, but this is the deal-breaker for me. Correct the shuffle behavior, and my trial will convert to a paid license.
Are there plans to correct this issue in the near future?

I have stated almost the exact same thing you have, and my feelings are the same. This is the deal-breaker for me as well.
As far as I can tell, I haven't seen anyone acknowledge this issue in an official capacity, let alone mention when or if it can be fixed.

You can check the 146 thread above, I discuss it there. I'm pretty sure I covered it somewhere else here, but maybe not.
In short: I'm working on it. I came close today, but I was sidetracked twice. It'll probably be fixed or at least better tomorrow.

I got 147 with the shuffle fix, so I paid! I am now a licensed user!
