Title: “Watched” tag
Post by: mjn77 on January 13, 2021, 03:31:06 pm
Every time MC26 is restarted it loses all the watched tags from TV shows and films. Where is the watched tag stored? In the XML file that is created next to the video file?

Patience.

MC stores that info in the fields [Last Played] and [Number Plays].
Are you playing from an MC client? Maybe you are connected to the server in read-only mode.

Ah, could be that.  Yes, i run my clients in "read only" mode to stop people making changes to the backend.  Only solutions is to use read/write mode?

Changed the library mode to read / write (i think), but watched tags are still not persistent after a restart of MC26.

Edit: you have to specify a username / password to actually active read/write between clients / server.  Now i just have to prevent people from being able to delete / modify the contents of the library from clients.........
