Greatday to all,
Question: how do we add a script or .exe from a nested item in Theater View ?
Would such be ² ?
My goal: I've my collection of Vinyl albums into MC, creating an custom .mpl file for each album.
Once imported into MC the artwork and tags are seamlessly added by MC and I'm able to browse the collection in Theater View.
The real challenge to me: it would be nice if these albums could be virtually 'played', by pressing the play button +
-> 1/ an .exe gets executed (which actually launches the Phono input of the pre-amp).
-> 2/ the rolling artwork get's scrapped and displayed by MC as it does when playing a real audiofile.
*the script (firing a RS232 command via Eventghost) I've got already working by adding a 'execute program' roller into MC, but such can't be nested nore linked by another item, as far i noticed.
Any pointers or work around to achieve such in MC would be appreciated,
Thanks !

"Options\File Types" allows to assign your EXE to a specific file type.
The file to be played would be given as command line argument to your EXE.
But I don't know if the artwork is still displayed by MC.

Many thanks Rolf,
Your suggestion works.
It's a good start, still looking to even get the rolling artwork.
Cheers !
