My playlists all seem to show up as 'file list' view. These playlists consists only of full albums. Is it possible to show playlists in album view (maybe sorted by date) in the way the regular library does?
-
If you check out the drop-down menu on the tab (see that downward pointing triangle/arrow?) you can change to thumbnail view, and change sorting.
-
Yes! Got it! Except all the tracks are now listed as separater thumbnails, when I was trying to get all the albums as individual thumbnails.

A Playlist is simply a list of files, so that's not possible to do when looking at a Playlist.
However, you can achieve that effect in a view.
Create a new view, and select the Albums type from the dialog.
Now customize the view. Add a new category above Album. The type should be Expression, and under "Expression to group by" put:
FilePlaylists()
Now OK everything to save the view configuration.
You now have a view that mirrors the contents of all your playlists. You can customize that view however you want.
This is only a view, not a replacement for Playlists. You can't modify playlists here.
Have fun...
