MC 27.0.43: When ever DSP Studio is active I cannot adjust the volume of my sound card and overall volume is low.
While playing music I have to turn MC's controller to 90% to get a decent volume - movies are generally to low in volume and speech almost not understandable even at 100% setting (including +20dB gain via room correction).
When I deactivate DSP Studio I have full control of both MC's and sound card volume.
Other settings:
Internal Volume or System Volume
DSP Studio 'Output Format' activated
Convolution (Audiolense) activated
WDM deactivated
Setup:
MC 27.0.43
Windows 10 (64)
Audiolense (for Convolution Filter, 5.1 format for 3 way active speaker)
Asus Essence STX II (7.1 internal sound card)
I have tried many different settings in Windows, MC27, Audiolense and Sound Card alike with always the same outcome.

Try disabling convolution.
-
I tried.
The problem remains with convolution disabled (passive speakers) and any other function in DSP Studio active, e.g Output Format
My large speakers are three way active speakers - I need the convolution filter for the digital crossover in the long run.
-
Does somebody have a new approach for this problem?
I set a high dB level target for the convolution - this helps to bring the level up.
But the basic problem that the soundcard volume cannot be adjusted persists (WDM active & internal Volume).

In Audio settings, try turning off Exclusive mode.
Or try System Volume.
