Title: Unexplained output format change from MC Server to my DAC
Post by: Sky King on February 09, 2021, 01:48:53 pm
Hi,

I had to reinstall MC27 because my Windows 10 HTPC required resetting.

I have JRiver MC27.0.52 64-bit sending music to my Lumin X1 player via Ethernet.  The files I am sending are 192 kHz 24 bit.  Checking the audio path, the input is 192 kHz 24bit 2ch from source format FLAC.  Changes indicate "No changes are being made".  The output is 192 kHz 16bit 2ch using Decoder (not a direct connection).  The Lumin X1 thinks it is getting 48 kHz 16 bit.

This setup used to work quite well but something has changed.  Incidentally, when using a different server, MinimServer and the Lumin app on my iOS device, send the same file to the Lumin X1 the front panel displays an expected 192 kHz 24 bit input.

Any idea what I am doing wrong in the setup of JRiver?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Sounds like you're using DLNA.  Check the conversion settings on the server.
