Hi
First, I'm a media center complete newbie, so apologies for any stupidities in advance.
I downloaded .159 in order to stream .wma files to the Tivo.
It looks like a great product, so I probably missed something.
Tivo sees my server just fine. Sees most of the entries in the media center db just fine. Can listen just fine to most entries.
1) Some entries show up as duration "continuous". When played, nada.
2) Some entries don't show up at all. That is, you can see them in the tree in Media Center, but they don't show up in the same tree on the Tivo.
The entries that don't show up are "new" - put on the server subsequent to Media Center / Server being installed, and subsequent to the first import into the database.
So, now I'm going to delete it, and install .145

Make sure that Media Center has them in it's database (they are somewhere in
"Media Library", not underneat "My Computer" inside Media Center). If they are not, you need to import them. Next, stop and restart Media Server - this will get the changed database.

Going backwards at the moment. Deleted (which didn't get everything, I had to do manually). Installed .145
Now, the Tivo reports "This folder does not contain any playable music", when I click on either playlists or media Library.
Sounds like not everything got deleted, even though I tried.

Update.
Totally deleted. Installed .146.
Now, it appears that the thing that doesn't work is streaming .wma files to the Tivo. MP3s seem to work fine.
For grins, I tried to convert a .wma file to .mp3 using Media Center. It failed.
These files were created yesterday, using Windows Media Player ver 9. The files play fine on win Media Player ver. xp
I'm going to try encoding with Media Center next.

Do they play in MC?
I'm closing this. Please use the TiVo instructions thread.
