Title: dsd play error
Post by: kth19 on March 02, 2021, 10:59:40 am
I am using denon avc-a110. In version 24 it plays dsd64, but in version 27 it throws an error.
Please correct the error.

Does the error have a spelling mistake?

To play DSD without converting to PCM you need to use either WASAPI or ASIO. WASAPI will work for DoP and ASIO will work for both DoP and native DSD sampling rates. Make sure bitstreaming is set.  The 352 KHz message indicates you are converting DSD to PCM.

The error occurs because you are sending music at a sample rate your Denon does not support.

How are you connecting to the Denon? Are using DLNA?

You cannot send native DSD over HDMI. The only way to send it over HDMI is to convert to PCM. DSD 64 (1x DSD at 2.822 MHz) converts to 352 KHz when converted to PCM. You need to downsample 352 KHz to a sample rate your Denon accepts - like 192 KHz or 176 Khz. 176 KHz would be better if your system supports that.  So, try downsampling 352 KHz in DSP Studio.
