Title: MC27 ripping Issue
Post by: JIMV on March 14, 2021, 11:32:33 am
I am running the latest version of MC27 and have an issue with ripping from CD's. When I insert a disk, select 'rip' from the action window all is well for perhaps 3 disks in which I only rip specific tracks. After 5 tracks the system refuses to rip a new CD. The action window say's 'Insert a disk and click here'. I do that and click as asked, the arrow flashes rapidly for a second or so and nothing happens. In addition, when I rip a disk subsequent (new) rips of other CD's appear as added to the first ripped.

For example, If I rip 3 tracks from Disk 1, remove the disk from the drive, close the disk function in the action window, any new disks added or tracks ripped are added to the content list on the first disk.

I very seldom rip a disk any longer but I still want the function to work. I suspect there is some simple, easy fix like ensuring some box somewhere is turned on or off but damned if I can find it.

I have reloaded the disk. I have tried to do the same thing from another PC running the same software and I get the identical problem.

I have never had this issue with MC before. Is there some sort of a permission I have to check to get the software to rip tracks or to tell the software that I am done with a disk and want to rip another?

Help!!

You need third party tools to rip copy protected disc ... like anyDVD

Personally I rip bluray with MakeMKV
