Title: question:How can I play dts files (wav and flac)
Post by: josmares on March 20, 2021, 12:50:01 pm
Hi
Sorry if this has been asked before, but how How can I play dts files (wav and flac) without normal 2 channel audio being converted to 5.1 format.
I am using MC 27 on an Mac Mini connected via HDMI to a Yamaha RX-A3060 receiver.
I have a collection of DSD/DSF files and flac files and the above mentioned DTS based files.
When I select DoP I can't play DTS (MC at times even stops responding when playing a DTS file with DoP still enabled.

Is there an option where music files tagged in a certain way will use the Dolby Digital instead of DoP?
Cheers
Jos

Thanks, but that results in all my files being transformed into 5.1 format including 2 channel sources. Is there a way to prevent the 2 channel sources from being changed into 5.1 format?

Cheers
Jos

You can use Zones and Zoneswitch to handle two types of files automatically.  Please see the wiki.
