Today I Bought
1. Linksys Wireless-G Router 2.4 Ghz 54Mbps
2. Wireless PCi Card 2.4Ghz (802.11b) Data Rate 11Mbps
I have the router hooked to this computer (my new one) and the Wireless PCI card On My Wife's Computer.
It all seems to work well (to include media Server)
If i wanted to hook Up My Tivo what do i need?
I did not see anything for wireless connecton that had a USB cable on it At Best Buy, maybe i missed it not sure.
I am looking on one of the box's and I see A USB Network Adapter (thats about it) is this what i need to Hook to My Tivo to network it to media Server?

Hi King,
Your TiVo supports a USB->Ethernet thingy (and make sure you get one that IS supported). Then you've got to either hook that to a regular ethernet router, or get an ethernet->wireless converter.

Tivo has a standard Ethernet port too, right? I'm pretty sure they do.
If you want to keep the connection wireless I'd suggest a wireless bridge. I use the Linksys WET11: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10321908&loc=14451

not sure i think i will need to look, but mine does have the USB ports.
I am not going to hook it to wire (too many problems the way it is in my house).
looking at that link I think that the "Wireless USB Network Adapter" will work. i will need to ask more questions. maybe i can get Linksys to answer it before i buy it (maybe next month) i only told my wife about $250 i spent i did not tell her the other $250

I'm not convinced this is correct. With TiVo OS 3.x only certain adapters were supported. HMO requires TiVo OS 4.0 and while I know the list has been expanded I'm not sure that every adapter is covered.
The TiVo Forum where Jim was displaying his antlers is the best resource for this kinda info and overall they're a pretty friendly and helpful bunch.
A friend of mine bought his wireless adapter from the TiVo Store at http://store.tivo.com/Detail.bok/bc7c07452c491db0cf1049802180759?&category=Accessories&start=1&total=17&no=91 and its $60. You might do better shopping online at newegg or something similar.
Good luck!
