This evening I did some clean up in MC9, that is, I removed a couple of provisional fields that I had previously created. The first thing that happened, was that the program was a bit slow in updating the changes in the propetries window. When they were finallly removed, MC9 closed down, and now it won't open. I get the logo and little more, then it closes. Now, what should I do? I do have the 9.01.33 version in my Temp folder, but I need some advice about what would be the best way to keep as many of the latest changes that I've done inside the program, as possible.
Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Uninstall and reinstall 9.0.143 if you haven't.
Then, if it still won't work, backup and erase the .jmd files in your MC\Data directory. (this is your library, so be careful with them)
Let us know if one of those does the trick.

From where should I do the uninstall?

Look under the JRiver Media Center folder (under the Start menu>Programs). You will see Uninstall Media Center.

Well, un- and reinstall didn't do it. (I was left with the header and a white/blank screen.)
When it comes to suggestion #2, in my Program Files/JRiver folder, there are two sub-folders: one called "Media Center" (with the new icon next to it) and one called "Media Jukebox" (with the usual folder icon next to it). The .jmd-files within the latter are more recent then the ones in the "Media Center" folder. So which should I backup and remove? (And what should I do with the back-ups?)

One set is probably from an old installation. Or it could be from another library.
Take a look at the dates. Back up each set.

That didn't help, either. I deleted the .jmd files, and dropped into an import-media window I was working in this weekend (?). I tried to go from there (rest of the library was empty) but MC crashed. I un- and reinstalled again, nothing happend. I rebooted, nothing happened. Well, there's always MusicMatch . . . . (That last one was a threat :-))
Guess I'll go to bed now. But there won't be much sleep. Oh no.

Not Actually Listening to (but thinking of): David Soul - "Don't Give Up on Us Baby" on XenNeuron 40.3

>> "Don't Give Up on Us Baby"
well the real title is
'Don't Give Up On Us' Charted At 01 In 1977
Listening to: 'Don't Give Up On Us' from 'The Best Of David Soul' by 'David Soul' on Media Center 9.0

BTW, the error message XP wants to send to Microsoft, starts with: "AppName: media jukebox.exe AppVer: 9.0.143.0 ModName: media jukebox.exe
ModVer: 9.0.143.0 Offset: 001a1563". Don't know if that 'offset' thing would be of any help at al- . . . ?"
I've also got a three days old backup (before installing 9.0.143. Would that be of any use here?
