pretty much this. i would absolutely love a theory/analysis of currently playing song. key, tempo, chords... that kind of thing. it would make jamming with a tune (or learning to) a fair bit easier :)
might be possible with a visualization plugin, now i'm thinking of it. maybe i'll take a stab at it next month if i get some time.
