I've been thinking about this for a while....as one of the early users, I've aged with the program, but while it gets better, I get.....uhm older? Anyway, I use the Search function in Media Center quite frequently, and with my aging vision, I find it a bit of a struggle sometimes, given the relatively small visible field. More often than not, I find myself leaning in and squinting to determine what I've added to Search.
Would it be possible either to enlarge the field modestly, or at least add functionality that allows modest expansion of the field? Does the functionality already exist, and I'm just missing it?
Not a bug certainly, so a new topic seemed appropriate.

It grows with the font size, so picking a bigger value to make all the fonts in the program bigger is one solution.
-
Or set View->Size to a larger value (125%, 150%) to enlarge everything.

Thanks folks - I’ll give it a try. Appreciate the help.

@Zootsuit,
I couldn't agree more.
Thank you for bringing this topic up, again.
I have tried the workarounds listed here. They are simply not practical.
It is the MC search box I wish to see. Not have the whole page put on Large Fonts Alert. Grrhh. Actually I see I am on 110% already.
Come on folks, lets have a layout us septuagenarians can use, please.

Click on the search box, then:
Windows key + Plus (+) to turn on magnifier.
Windows key + Esc to turn it off.
Use the mouse to move the screen.

Works great, but I'm only a sexagenarian and I can still remember those key chords - most of the time.

Seems to work. The initial command enlarges the window and the font, then Windows+escape reduces the font but leaves the window enlarged.

DJ, you can pin a shortcut to the magnifier on the windows taskbar. After it's open you can also use its toolbar to close it or adjust the zoom level.

Not sure what you mean. The magnifier zooms the entire screen, not just fonts. When it's closed everything returns to the normal size.
To be clear, the Magnifier is a Windows tool, not an MC function. It can be activated anytime, on any app.

The Search field seemed to be a little larger, even after returning to normal font size. Maybe its my imagination.
I don't find 125 too intrusive, so I'm comfortable with slightly enlarged fonts if I need to stay there. But the broader point is, can the team provide the flexibility to simply enlarge the search field while leaving the rest of the interface alone, using the resizing function we now have to adjust the size of Name, Artist, Album etc. fields? There's a lot of landscape towards the top dedicated to the playing progress bar, which could be shrunk a little to facilitate this.
