Post by: Flobalob on April 04, 2003, 08:33:45 pm
RE: 9.0.142
10. Fixed: Pausing playback for a long time would hang MC. (only maybe fixed -- couldn't reproduce)

Have notied this for a while - Only seems to crash when NeoTropic is the Display plug-in

I have this problem as well.  Paused for about three minutes this afternoon, came back pressed play and MC locked up.

Can you identify any software or hardware that you are all using?  Or what types of files you're playing?

Any clues would be appreciated.

Hi Jim,

The file it choked on this afternoon was an mp3 file downloaded from emusic.  I had Directory Opus, Digiguide and Newspro running in the background and numerous programs in my System tray  ::)

I have had one thought - the PC I currently have uses AC 97 built into the motherboard rather than a separate sound card.  Could that be causing the problem?

If you can reproduce this, please report what visualization you are running. (track info, visualizations, none)

Does it matter if you use "none" for the visualization?

Thanks.

Hi Matt,

Having tried this evening I can't reproduce it so maybe it is one of those irritating things that only happens now and again without reason.  >:(

I'll let you know if things change.
