Title: Media Centre playback stutters in dark scenes

Hey guys
My media Centre stutters in dark scenes only. I have tried changing red October settings from quality to performance without success. Playing 4k mkvs from sata drive htpc. Ryzen 3600 and NVIDIA 1060ti through AVR to tv. Any suggestions? Cheers.

As you using RO HQ  ... press Ctr+J to bring stats up while movie is playing

Take screenshot of those stats where stutters occur and post it here.

Also make sure no other program that updates its screen is running in background as it will interfear with video playback.

Pic artached. Rendering times etc looks ok. Not too many glitches.

You are playing 23fps stuff at 60fps ... this might cause stutters ... maybe its more noticable in dark scenes

Try running it at 23fps

Also ... make sure no windows that updates their contents periodically are present while playinh movies (stuff like hardware stats monitors or download monitors) ... these can cause stutters too

Thanks mate, I should have realised. Dark scenes must have made it noticeable. Changing display settings in JRiver to 'automatic change mode' fixed it. Cheers
