I've messed with this a little more and figured out that the issue is that MC will not move folders from one drive to another. I can move folders within a drive's file structure (either local drives or remote [samba] drives) but when I try to move a folder from drive I: to drive M: it fails.
This occurs on all folders, including ones that were freshly created empty within MC. I can move all of these folders around with Windows Explorer (or, in this specific case, Directory Opus) without a problem.
So, my guess is it's a drive-to-drive issue.
Also, I noticed that sometimes the tree in MC updates with a folder move and sometimes it doesn't.
