Title: Something wrong with shutdown / restart
Post by: whoareyou on July 16, 2021, 09:36:57 pm
Not sure when this started....

After I shutdown JRiver, and then restart, the "JRiver incomplete shut down" dialog has been displaying when JRiver is restarted. At this point, I just cancel out of the error and everything works just fine.

The shutdown seems perfectly normal.  No error messages are displayed.

Antivirus is already configured per JRiver.  I've tried disabling plugins.

Anything else I can do i.e. would logging show anything someone would understand?

Thanks.

Any suggestions?

How do you typically 'shutdown' JRiver Media Center?

Anything special about your setup? (any network involvement? Server/Client usage? NAS? DNLA?)

If you open MC's options and type incomplete in the search box at the bottom, you will see that you can disable that dialogue altogether... though you might want to know what might be spawning it first, perhaps...

Shutdown is clicking the close box and shutdown seems to proceed normally.

Media network is enabled.  I only use JRiver clients and the issue occurs when no clients are connected to the server.
I have not tested with media network disabled so I might give that a try,

I would like to figure out what is causing it, but since whatever is going does not cause any issue,   I'll probably just disable it.

But somehow JRiver thinks something went wrong with the shutdown, so do you (or anyone else) know if this information is logged?
