Title: Music in multiple folders
Post by: jcelias on August 06, 2021, 07:53:07 am
My music is stored on the hard disk in 2 folders: Main and Secondary. In Tools/ Options/ Library & Folders /Configure auto-import I have added the 2 folders, and everything is working beautifully. Is there a way in Media Center 28 that would allow me to selectively and instantly see the contents of Main only, of Secondary only, or of both, without changing anything in the above mentioned auto-import settings?

Yes - all you have to do is set up Views, or smartlists where one only looks for files/tracks with Main in the file path whilst the other one looks for the ones that have Secondary in the file path

Thank you EnglishTiger. I understand. I tried, somewhat quickly I admit, to create a Custom View. But no songs were added from the folder I pointed to, though of course it holds several wav, wma and MP3 audio files. I will work more on that. It could be a "little thing' I'm doing wrong...!
