Title: New M1 Mac - Cannot connect to remote library (v27 works)
Post by: hoyt on August 13, 2021, 11:18:07 am
I just got a new m1 Mac.  I downloaded MC28 (28.0.52), installed my license and am attempting to connect to my library PC.  I entered the IP address and tried the access key.  Once I enter that information in Add Library and click OK, MC seems to freeze (pinwheel spins for minutes before I force kill the app).  I do not get an authentication window.  Looking at the server, I see no lines in the Media Network that show my m1 IP address trying to connect to the library.  The application does open on the m1, and it appears I can use a "local library", but I have no audio files locally.

I tried the same with MC27, and it connected to my library PC just fine.

Quick update, I reverted to 28.0.46 and I was able to connect to the library.

I used .46 for a bit, but then just re-installed .52 (with the server carrying over from .46) and it connected to the server just fine.  So perhaps the issue is isolated to adding a new server between .46 and .52.

Thanks, I see something odd like that switching libraries.
Will check into it more.
