Title: Maximum Database Size
Post by: TopDownDriver on August 14, 2021, 01:54:28 pm
What is the maximum size of the database in MC28 in number of albums it can hold and manage quickly.  A general, non-exact number would be fine.

Or, how many albums do you have in your collection?

Trying to get a rough estimate for a possible catalog application.

Thanks

At least 100,000 albums.

Does anyone have that amount or is that hypothetical?

We used it internally on a project that had about 20 million tracks.  1,000,000 is conservative.

Challenge accepted.

Audio: 722,524 files, 16.3 TB, 87.59 years!
Video: 5189 files, 5.7 TB, 1709 days

No issues here. I've tried other programs and they all seemed to choke.

So I can create a playlist that plays every audio track once and I will finish on Sunday, March 21, 2109
