Version 28.0.53, 64-bit
Windows 10 21H2
HD Homerun Prime for CableCARD and HD Homerun Quadro for OTA, all updated to latest software and firmware
Television features settings haven't changed, but all functionality ceased. "No tuner available" is the common response to trying to watch any cable channel. I tried to tune in the same channels with HD Homerun application on same machine, and of course that works fine.
Went into Television Options Setup within MC. Upon clicking the radio button to set up Digital Cable and clicking the "Next" button, MC just crashes to the desktop. Reboot. Repeat. Reboot. Repeat.
Any thoughts on possible causes or solutions?

Maybe there is something bad in Windows 10 21H2?

Any thoughts on how one might determine such a thing? I also have MC28 on another computer, and that one is not yet updated to Win10_21H2, and MC Television is also malfunctioning on it (but in different ways).

Has anything changed with your network and Firewall? Have you allowed MC28 network access?
I am not sure what to do about Windows 10 versions but I am doing some tests.
On a laptop computer where I have not had MC28 installed, I just installed 28 and TV works just fine. This computer is Windows 10 21H1. I am going to update it to 21H2 and see what happens.

I am not offered to update the laptop to 21H2. So far I encounter no issues with 21H1.

Thank you. No known or intentional changes to network nor firewall. I can check if there may be any unintentional change, perhaps.
MC28 has full network access through firewall. And the Windows Defender considerations I've read about on this forum are all addressed on this computer.
My workaround is to simply use the HD Homerun app on this computer for watching television. But it is clunky and doesn't look as good as MC, so it's hopefully only a temporary workaround.

It's not officially out yet. As far as I know it's still in insider preview, perhaps release preview by now. I'd expect it to be released around the same time frame as Windows 11.

On the Win10_21H1 machine, I restored the MC28 Television functionality by re-running Options/Television/Setup
However, on the Win10_21H2 machine, trying to run that Setup still consistently terminates the running MC28 immediately; back to the Desktop. It may be that the "preview" version of 21H2 has some new quirk that interferes with MC. I'll probably just use my HD Homerun workaround until the Release version of Win10 catches up with this Preview version, and perhaps the new quirk can be overcome. Thanks for the insights and assistance.
