Since Apple music is now making Hi Res audio files available, does anyone know how to download all my old itunes files in the new 96KHz/24 bit format? I will probably need to buy a new HDD to hold all the new files!!!!
Thanks.
FYI, I convert all my Apple Music files into FLAC files that I then use MC28 to playback with.

I've not heard anything of the sort. They're making Hi-Res available on Apple Music streaming. But offering Hi-Res for all of iTunes offering for purchased content, that's news to me.

They are making Hi Res available for streaming. So that means that all the music I have in my streaming library (under Apple Music) is now available in Hi Res.
I download the files in my Apple Music Library to my HDD and then convert to FLAC. Therefore, I will need to re download the files and then reconvert the new Hi Res files.
I assume that the same must be true for iTunes Purchased files.

If they're using DRM (FairPlay), that could be a problem for you.

If you have an Apple Music subscription you will be able to re-download lossless versions of music you own but it will definitely protected by Fairplay DRM. That will make it impossible to convert those downloaded files to FLAC and play them from Media Center.
