I'm using MC9 build 137.
My PC is WIndows XP.
When I rip an album, and MC9 recognizes the album and all of the track information, everything is OK.
If MC9 does not recognize the album, it brings up a window to enter the information. The window is labeled "CD Information".
After I enter all of the information, it comes back and says:
Action Success
Satatus: CSinformation successfully added to the database.
It has a box to say OK (i click OK)
MC9 comes back with a message
Action Failed
Status: CD not found
When I try to rip the CD, all of the tagging information I just entered is gone.
I now have to edit everything again. Note, I can never get back to the simple screen to maintain the CD Information. I guess MC9 keeps a database of CDs you inserted, even if you did not rip them. Even if there is no data.
I know this product is still in BETA, but I'm having trouble with very basic functions.
Am I doing something wrong?

The UI menu Is New, There Maybe A Bug
I have Not Tested It Yet

Try updating from yadb after you get the error. Someone else just reported the same error and said it then works.
If it's a bug, we'll fix it this week.

I re-entered all of the data on the CDs I was ripping, so I have no CDs left try your suggestion.
More CDs will arrive next week. I'll test it again when I get the next batch of CDs.
Thanks fopr the quick response.

yeah, I was having this same problem, but instead of posting it here, I tried to update from YADB like JimH said to do. It did get all the info back.
So, I don't know why it fails the first time, but it works the second time.

OK, I had one more CD in the car, so I tried again.
Did not find the CD Information.
I manually entered everything.
It lost it again.
I tried an update from YADB. It did not work.
When are you doing the update from YADB? Before or after the rip?
I tried the update before the rip so that the files would be named correctly.
Anyway, I'm getting tired of typing. Until this is fixed I will rip with another product. The library does not appear to be rich anyway, which means more typing, so I especially don't want to type it twice.

After getting the error go to the left window, right click your CD-drive and choose "update from CD database". You get back your entered tags. Works everytime.
