Title: My Custom Skin from MC27 is not showing up in MC28.
Post by: billF on September 20, 2021, 12:19:19 pm
I have imported my library from MC27 but my custom skin is not being used and is not showing up in View/Skins.  How do I reconnect my skin folder to MC28?
Thanks.

Skins are stored in a folder that is specific to EACH version of MC.  Finding that folder is a little funny because it's your Library folder, which the Finder hides by default.  Here's how to get to it:

Open Finder and select from the menu at the top:  Go > Go to folder
Type this :  ~/Library

Now your Library folder will open.  Drill down through the folders to find the versions of MC that you have installed:

Inside of each version of MC, you'll find a folder called Skins and inside there Standard View.  FINALLY, in that folder you will have one folder for each custom skin you have installed.  Copy that folder to the new version of MC's folder structure, and it will start working right away.

Brian, very logical, worked perfectly.  Thank you for your very clear directions!  I will keep your notes for future versions.
