Title: Sorting According to Record Label
Post by: rsg on October 01, 2021, 11:50:41 pm
Sometimes, I enjoy cruising through my music files, not by artist, genre, date or any such thing--but by record label. I'm thinking about some of the great Alligator or Blind Pig blues material. Recently, I have been playing through some well-recorded Fox Records albums. But, how can I sort these albums? Sure, I can add them to a playlist, but then I simply get a listing track by track rather than by album. Is there a way to add a field for record label (not sure where or how) so that I can view all the albums on that one label at one time?

maybe fill in the Publisher field and create a library view using this?

I have added a user defined Field: Record Label, filled it (needed some work) and then created a View with Record Label/Album. Looks like this:

I recently used [Publisher] to tag some of my Movie files so I could sort movies from a certain studio.  I really need to practice creating custom Fields.  :)
