Title: manually adjust volume levelling target in jriver
Post by: GeorgiaPine on October 16, 2021, 11:06:22 am
I'd like to know how JR determines the "target" level after bulk track analysis.
I'd like to be able to manually adjust that target level.
I'd like to know if deleting say, a percentage of the lower level tracks would cause JR 'target' level to correspondingly change.

The target is determined per-file and not per-playlist or per-library, with the only exception being if you play consecutive tracks from the same album, so that intentional volume differences in the same album are preserved - in which case the target is an average of the different tracks in the album.

You should also look at Adaptive Volume in rhwWiki. It maximizes playback level for a playlist and works with Volume Leveling.
