Title: No more play/pause with the Spacebar
Post by: imeric on October 18, 2021, 11:16:52 pm
Not possible to start or pause playback anymore with the spacebar in theater or standard view why is that?

Works for me in Standard. I don't use Theater, so unsure about that.

1. Fixed: Lyrics lookup could be incomplete from Genius.com.
2. Changed: Updated the Korean translation (thanks Junghwan).
3. Fixed: Typing a space in the search box in Cloudplay would pause instead of enter the space
Maybe related to fix #3 above?

I see the same problem.  Cloudplay also.

This is actually a little complicated because I found this comment:
// the space-bar is handy in the main tree for expand/contract groups, acts as play/pause accelerator everywhere else

So we were intentionally not translating if the tree was focused.

I don't have a strong opinion, so just let us know.

Personally I miss it a lot with or without the display focused…I say back to the original behaviour but I don’t use Cloudplay very often….Hopefully we can just address the Cloudplay issue and bring back the spacebar functionnality..

When editing tags or using Cloudplay search, you need the spacebar to make a space.

Otherwise using it to pause is great.

Has to be a work-around for both.

Any chance to see a fix or workaround for this soon?

The whole family misses the space bar :-)

It should work unless you're in a browser.

10. Fixed: Spacebar to pause wasn't working if the tree was focused.

I see there was a fix for this but spacebar to play pause in both theater or standard view is still not working with .105..

Same here in some places

Pretty much everywhere for me.

I can live without it for music listenning in standard view but need it in both Theater and Standard view while watching videos/tv.

v. 28.0.105 64 bit.  The spacebar hasn't worked for play/pause in the last two versions. Music only for me.

Just updated from V27 to the current V28 and Space Bar Pause no longer works in Theatre View!
Is there a fix available?  I found pressing the Enter key presently serves the same purpose but finding the Enter (CR) on my small keyboard in the dark is not so easy.
