This has been probably asked before
movies are fine I can go max volume but whenever I play music it's way too loud even at low levels
-
Have a look at Tools > Options > Audio > Volume > Volume Protection.
Do you check 'Analyse audio on new files' when you import audio files?
-
Yeah they still play too loud
guess i've have to use a seperate app for music.
-
Turn on volume levelling and analyze everything. It will be perfect.
-
sounds like it worked
is there a way to make sure it does this whenever i add a new track
or run when playing a movie - it might take days to scan my entire movie collection lol

There is an option to analyze audio when you import.
-
File -> Library -> Configure Auto Import -> Tasks (check the box for "Analyze audio for audio files")
That should run Analyze Audio for anything you add to your Library as you import it. I still haven't set that check box. Every once in a while I look at the "stock" Smartlist Audio -- Task needs Audio Analysis to see if I've missed any files when I import them. I usually have.
