Title: How to update the current upgrade license to a newer one?

My first MC was 21 full license, and later bought and upgraded it to 25 with an upgrade license. Now I'd like to buy a 28 upgrade license.
In this case, how to upgrade from the MC25 to 28? Should I uninstall the current MC25 first of all, or just install 28 to overwrite and input the new license?
