Frequently, the names of my MP3 files are way to long for the maximum filename length for MP3 files on an MP3 CD. The result is that MC truncates the filenames. It would be nice if there was an option to change the name used on the MP3 based on the MP3 property and sequence number fields. Something like the rename file using file properties that would not alter the names of the MP3 files on my hard drive, just the names used in burning the MP3 CD. Then I could do something like [SEQ#]-[ARTIST]-[NAME] for the MP3 CD names thus reducing the number of filenames MC needs to truncate.

Wahoo :) - Come on folks - add your vote - lets have 10 so we can get this feature: Pretty please folks :)
I'd love to be able to be able to rename files in the burn screen myself too.

Matt has said that MC's new burning engine would support long filenames (>128 chars) on data CD's. I assume this hasn't been implemented yet?
10-27
edit: After some research...char limit is 110 as of bld 9.0.83

May be a good idea to be able to truncate the fields under user control. I'd like to use something like eg.
[Artist:64]\[Year:4] - [Album:57]\[TRACK #:2] - [Name:59]
keeping all dir/file names to the 64 char max.
