After opening my MC 28 program, when I wish to play a song I get the MC popup "what playback method would you like to choose? with the options 1. Play within MC OR 2. play with an external program. How do I turn this option off or get it to recognize my choice (play within MC)? Is it in the MC Options and where?
Thanks
Dan

Have you set an output audio device in MC's Settings > Audio > Audio Device?

hello Awesome Donkey .. checked all the Audio settings and Audio device driver in MC28 and even changed a few within BUT no success! Thanks for the suggestion. I will check my audio card settings to see if there is something interfering there.
Anyone else got any thoughts?

Checked my audio card (Bang and Olefsen) for conflicting settings and windows sound settings without anything resolving the issue. I thought it might be the extension default (mp3) player but I tried it with MC 28 as default through Windows and tried playing an mp3 with the same message occurring.
The message did not occur in MC 25 before the download of MC 28 and does not occur now in MC 25.
Just Found out where the problem was !!! It was only with mp3 files .. so I changed the setting in MC28 ... Options / file types / mpeg audio from 'ask at Playback time' to 'automatic'
