Title: license used too many times

I only have six PCs with MC28 on them, but several have been rebuilt with new motherboards and Windows OSs. I do not know how y'all count, but I just rebuilt a PC and when I tried to restore my activation I got an unfamiliar "license has been used too many times" message. I love JRiver MC, and am not opposed to buying a second license, but isn't there a way to reset things so I can activate this PC. Don't know of the program phones home and you know how many PCs are being used, but I've had MC for more than a decade, get the new version every year, and have never abused my activations. If y'all can help, I'd apppreciate it.
