Title: Since Update Videos Not Playing.

Hi, since recent updates MC28 on Win11 has become unusable for videos, MC is just unresponsive, and the send report to Microsoft box appears, with the close app message or wait for program.

Only noticed this happening last couple of days.  I am on 28.0.94 64bit. No changes to my pc have been made. 

Tried new install of MC same problem. Thanks, Carl.

Does any video play?

This could be Windows blocking downloads of MC components.  Firewall or Windows Defender.

Try switching video settings in Red October, to see if it happens with one and not others.

Hi Jim, I only have mp4 . I was in the Red October Standard (Recomended) have now moved it to HQ. So far so good. Thanks for quick response Jim.

I am having the same issue. Windows 10 v. 28.0.94. My music/video collection is not located on a machine that has access to the internet. For music this has never been an issue.


This could be Windows blocking downloads of MC components. 

If indeed i need "components" how would i go about getting them on a drive so i can transfer them on the PC that is not internet connected? (mp4, mpg, avi, mkv)

Connecting to the internet is not an option as my files are located on a machine that has no connection to the internet.
How would i go about getting them on a drive so i can transfer them to the PC that is not internet connected?

MC is designed to install and update the components from the internet on its own. Moving them from another machine is not supported.

I have a dedicated machine that's purpose is solely to play my files. It has no connection to the internet. It is connected to my entertainment system TV.

Could i install on a separate machine, download the required files and then transfer them over via a thumb drive? Or maybe install the entire program on a portable drive and move or run jriver from the drive?
