Title: Loop to be used for HiFi AB and FIR testing
Post by: spalmgre on January 14, 2022, 06:30:58 am
I like to suggest a new feature that would serve us who use JRiver as a part of our HiFi strugle.

We all know that it is good to have certain music that you repeatedly use when listening and testing different gear, filters tec.
And all of us know how important it is to listen to how that specific part of a song or recording. Now, this can be a challenge when doing AB testing or flipping between FIR filters other features in the DSP Studio.

So why not make a loop of that superb guitar riff or drum solo. This can be done by exporting the track to Audacity, process, and import as a new track. But why not add this as a feature to JRiver as we all already are using it.

So what would we need? Well, some kind of time tag or mark in the time track and then a repeat feature.

You can do it already using the playback range and particles

Particles is a nice built-in approach.

FYI, MC also has it's own visual Media Editor:

(which can also be opened externally by RMB in Windows File Explorer > Media Center > Edit)
