I just purchased 8.0 last week and was unaware of 9.0 at that point. What is the cost to upgrade to 9.0?
Since I can only find references to the full price of $34.95 I have that awful feeling that 9.0 must be purchased at this price, even by existing users.
I would have purchased 9.0 had the information been readily apparent on the main pages.
Thank you.

Hopefully this will answer your questions:

Matt,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately, what the link tells me is that 9.0 will cost me a minumum of $12.98.
My point was that if I had known about 9.0 I would have purchased it instead of 8.0.
The availability of 9.0 is not readily (if at all) apparent from the pages I navigated when making the 8.0 purchase on March 13 (last Friday). I believe that the correct thing for JRiver to do is to cancel the 8.0 transaction and provide me the 9.0 version at the $34.98 price.
Thank you

Just A Note
on the Main MJ Download page (the only one)
http://www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/download.html
the Font Size for MC9 is allot larger than the MJ8 Font Size.

So... you bought MJ8 for 24.98.
MC9 costs 34.98 right now.
That's a difference of $10.
The upgrade price is $12.98
So, you're basically quibbling about a price difference of $2.98?
I'd just chalk that $2.98 as a lesson to read the fine pr.... oh, wait. The print advertising MC9 is bigger than that for MJ8.
Nevermind, I'm just rambling. Hunger will do that to me.

While your right that the text is clearly pointed out,
Might I suggest that when someone goes to buy a license at this point in the game (with v9 just around the corner) - an additional screen is presented to them along the road to purchasing - informing them that v9 is out and they are welcome to purchase it or would they rather continue and buy v8.
I just remember a lot of these type of posts when v8 came out.
A page like this would fully make people aware of it as a choice and totally eradicate the possibility of this happeing again.

Might I suggest that
it don't matter, even if you did you would still have someone say they never had such a notice.
kind of like the MJ7 and prior notice to back up there license (after it was registered) on disk because it would not be replaced and they could only restore if they did have a back up.

I just meant a big blank screen with nothing on it except some <h3> text telling them with a little box they had to seek out to choose v8 as oposed to v9.
:)
