Title: GPU at 100% in Theater View
Post by: mogman on February 09, 2022, 08:25:58 am
I have an odd problem with JRiver. I have MC 28. While in Theater view either playing music or not doing anything the GPU usage is at 99 to 100%. While playing a video from theater view the GPU usage will be about 60%.
What would cause such a high gpu usage while displaying a static image.
If I switch to standard view the gpu usage drops to under 10%

Anyone else have this issue, or have an idea as to the cause?

Just taking a WAG here, but...

You could try changing whatever you currently have set for web browser specified here:  Tools/Options/Tree&View/Web Browser.  FYI... This has nothing to do with whatever Web Browser you typically use to surf the internet.

While I am not terribly confident my suggestion will work (though it might), misguided advice many times inspires someone else to chime in with the correct solution.  So even if I am completely wrong, it may lead to someone else providing the answer.  I just hate seeing zero replies to any post.

You can try switching to the Vulkan Theater View backend and/or reducing your anti-aliasing settings.
