Title: Question: Since MC28, Why cutting and pasting text truncates the trailing space.
Post by: The RomDoodle! on February 13, 2022, 05:25:40 am
MC:

Prior to MC28 you could cut and paste "NCIS: Los Angeles - " at the beginning of a rename (F2) and the trailing "space' would remain.

Now when you cut and paste, the trailing 'space ' gets truncated forcing the use of the spacebar after pasting.

Help a brother out...

I have also encountered that problem and if I am pretty sure it started happening after MS issued one of their Service Packs so it is possible that it's the OS trimming the contents of the clipboard.

Does this happen on cut, or on paste? i.e. if you paste into a text editor, is the trailing space kept?

MC trims the space.  I don't feel strongly about it.

It's from when we used "; " as a delimiter.  Now we use ";" without the space.  So I'll pull the space trimming for the future.
