If you're still running Windows 7 (which no longer is supported by Microsoft), it's probably time to consider either upgrading to Windows 10, which as far as I know you still can for free from Windows 7 and 8.1, or switching to a different OS, e.g. Linux Mint.

MC28 works for me on Windows 7. I have not tried MC29, but assume most of it works. There may be some specific video or TV features that do not work, but not many. JRiver does not support the newest versions on Windows 7, but they should mostly work. Obviously, moving to a newer version of Windows is desirable, but if there are reasons you need to continue to use Windows 7, most of MC will probably work for you.  You can download the free version of MC29 to check.  Of course, there is no guarantee that newer versions will work on W7. Updating to W10 or W11 is the safest bet.
