Title: Imac crashed with MC 29
Post by: ohhsanna on March 17, 2022, 01:51:37 pm
My Imac freezes after a few minutes of listening with the MC 29 version, the same way it happened with the MC 28 version.

While the MC27 version works perfectly.

I am not an expert but this has never happened to me with other mac programs.

If it is what a corrupt mp4 / m4a audio file looks like, how do I track which file it is?

Attached you will find the entire report

(.. sorry for my English, I am writing to you from Italy).

It is crashing in the mp4/m4a plugin from your dump.

My guess is that the file was corrupted after MC27 imported it and MC29 is crashing when it gets to that file, either on auto-import or when building it's thumbnail.

You can turn on logging in MC.
Help->Logging
Run MC, then when it crashes, run it again then do Help->Logging again and "report problem"
You can email the logs to me

Another thing to check, make sure that your
Mac System Preferences->Security & Privacy->Files and Folders
allows MediaCenter29 access to all of the locations your material is stored.
